how the Xia Dynasty was founded

The Xia Dynasty (about 2033 BC-1562 BC) was the first dynasty in Chinese history.

More than 4,000 years ago, Yu Shun, the leader of the Xia tribe, gave him the title of leader of the Confederacy of Tribes because of his success in water management. It was the beginning of the Xia Dynasty. After the death of Da Yu, his son Qi came to the throne, which is the so-called "passing on of knowledge from one generation to the next", announcing the end of the "Zen system" of tribal alliances and the feudal system. The beginning of the hereditary system.

However, Xia's reign was not solid, and during Qi's reign there was a rebellion against Bo Yi, and Qi's son Taikang was also incompetent in governing the country. After many wars and turmoil, Hou Yi from the Eastern Yi dynasty seized control of the country, which is called "the loss of Taikang". Hou Yi, like Taikang, was an incompetent ruler who indulged in hunting and left the government in the hands of Milestones. Milestones took over and replaced Hou Yi with a new king.

After that, sun Shaokang, the younger brother of Taikang, joined forces with Bo MI, a leftover Minister of Xia Dynasty, to defeat Han Zhuo and restore the ruling position of Xia Dynasty, which was known as "rejuvenation of Shaokang". The rule of Xia Dynasty was consolidated and entered a relatively stable period of national strength. After Shaokang, the eight dynasties of Zhu, Huai, Mang, Xie, Bujiang, Jian and Yinjia had a stable politics and prosperous economy.

To the 13th King Kong Jia in power, Xia Dynasty began to decline. Kong Jia's "good side, ghosts and gods, immoral things", caused people's dissatisfaction and the rebellion of the princes. The Xia Dynasty's rule was in crisis from then on, and only four generations later led to the disaster of national subjugation. Therefore, it is recorded in historical records that "Kongjia disordered the summer and fell down after four generations"

Xia Jie, the last king of Xia Dynasty, was a famous tyrant in history. During his reign, he drove the people to build numerous palaces and pavilions for him, and launched a military expedition against the outside world, which made the princes leave one after another. At this time, Shang, a barbarian tribe in the lower reaches of the Yellow River, flourished under the leadership of its leader Cheng Tang. In the name of attacking the tyrant Xia Jie, Cheng Tang launched a war to destroy Xia. Xia Jie was defeated and died in Nanchao (now Shouxian County, Anhui Province), and the Xia Dynasty was declared dead.

The Xia Dynasty has a history of about 4000 years. Due to its long history and the fact that we have not found any original documents and written records, we can only learn a little about the Xia Dynasty from some ancient books and legends. In recent years, through the archaeological work of Xiadu site and the "Xia Shang Zhou dating project", we have a new understanding of the political, economic and cultural development of the Xia Dynasty. Erlitou culture found in Erlitou village, Yanshi County, Henan Province is the representative of Xia Dynasty culture. Among them, a large number of bronzes, pottery and a large area of palace ruins were found. Therefore, the Xia Dynasty has entered the bronze age from the stone age, and mastered the metallurgy and casting technology. Compared with the stone age, the level of productivity has been greatly improved, which provides favorable conditions for agricultural production. According to legend, the wine making industry also started in the Xia Dynasty. "Shiben. Zuo Pian" has a record of "Vadi made wine". In addition, from some classical books, we can see that the Xia Dynasty has adopted the Ganzhi chronology, and the earliest "Xiashi" appeared in Chinese history, which is the testimony of the scientific and cultural level at that time.

The Xia Dynasty experienced thirteen and sixteen kings, which were Yu Qi Taikang Zhongkang xiangshaokang zhuhuai mang Xiebao Bujiang Yi Yinjia Kongjia Gao FA Xia Jie about 471 years. Xia Dynasty is an ancient dynasty. Although it is 4000 years away, some legends about Xia are still widely spread. It can be seen that it has a profound impact on later generations. As the beginning of the three ancient dynasties, Xia laid a good foundation for the development of Chinese civilization. It can be said that without the Xia Dynasty, there would have been no more than 3000 years of splendid civilization history of the Chinese nation.
